El material de este capítulo no es conclusivo, sino, más bien, es un proceso en marcha que observa el impacto de la privatización social, en donde todo está a la venta, advirtiendo en contra de los escollos socioeconómicos que esto representa en general, pero particularmente para los latinos. Precisamente, el presidente Ronald Reagan le dio vida a este sistema neoliberal, que años antes ya se había plasmado en el objetivo de MONOPOLY, el juego de mesa que Elizabeth Magie inventara en la década de 1880 bajo el nombre The Landlord’s Game. Este juego tenía como meta ser una demostración práctica del “land-grabbing with all its usual outcomes and consequences”, un juego donde las personas no tienen más opción que la de terminar en bancarrota o en una cárcel.³¹
