and for the people who are against you cutting off those toxic family members:
stop invalidating other people's feelings/decisions simply because you use "blood" as an excuse to enable toxic and abusive behavior. it's not you, so please put yourself in their shoes. their reason is their reason and it doesn't matter if you agree or not regardless of age. you have no right to tell one how to feel or how to go about it. when you side the abuser you become the enabler.
reminder:
you are not fake or selfish for removing yourself
from bad energy that stunts your growth
whether you've known them for years or minutes
it's okay to remove yourself peacefully
history does not define present loyalty
nor does it define permanence
-in order to fully prosper you must outgrow
certain things and certain people to discover
the new right things, and people meant for you.
my growth is not an aesthetic mood board on pinterest. bettering myself is not an aesthetic. what i put out isn't "mood" on social media. it's my life. i put out what i hope will heal others that are going through things, too. it's not a look, it's what brought me out of my old sad life.
