Перед вами – очередной сборник книг «Лилии полевые» из архива репрессированного священника Григория Пономарева (1914-1997). В основу четвертого сборника положено сочинение архиепископа Джозефа Ингрэма (1809-1860 гг.) «Царь из дома Давида. Три года в Священном городе». Сочинение содержит в себе 39 писем к отцу молодой еврейской девушки Адины, приехавшей в Иерусалим в царствование Ирода. В архиве отца Григория письма Адины перепечатаны в сокращении, именно поэтому кропотливое восстановление полных текстов, под редакцией православной писательницы Елены Кибиревой, длилось более 18 лет. Новый вариант книги дополнен 143-мя примечаниями, объясняющими исторические и библейские термины; в работе с примечаниями использованы 35 источников знаний. Книга заново иллюстрирована образцами мировой живописи из свободных ресурсов Интернета, а также иконами и малоизвестными изображениями на библейскую тему из архива отца Григория. Перед вами третий сборник рассказов из серии книг «Лилии полевые» под названием «Лилии полевые. Покрывало святой Вероники». В 2012 году вышла в печати вторая книга этой серии «Лилии полевые. Крестоносцы», а еще ранее, в 2006 году – первый сборник «Лилий…», выдержавший уже более восьми изданий. В основу сборников всех книг легли рассказы из рукописного архива протоиерея Григория Пономарева (1914-1997) и его духовных чад. Все Книги подготовлены к печати православной писательницей Еленой Кибиревой, тексты, написанные православными авторами дореволюционной России, восстановлены и заново отредактированы, а утраченные из-за ветхости архива части текстов дописаны с соблюдением православных канонов. Книги снабжены примечаниями. В настоящее время архив отца Григория передан в дар Елене Кибиревой, а издательство «Звонница» продолжает дело отца Григория и пополняет его архив новыми рассказами времён Царской России. Также в издательстве готовится к печати ещё несколько книг этой серии.
