Lise Gast hat einiges erlebt: Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs floh sie mit ihren acht Kinder nach Württemberg, wo sie einen Ponyhof gründete und bis zu ihrem Tod als Schriftstellerin tätig war. Mit der Erzählung «Unsere Ponys und wir» gibt Liste Gast einen biographischen Auszug aus ihrem Leben und berichtet über die Gründung des Ponyhofs. Jener Ort, der später Inspirationsquelle für so viele ihrer Geschichten wurde. – Eine herrliche Alltagsgeschichte. Lesenswert!Lise Gast (geboren 1908 als Elisabeth Gast, gestorben 1988) war eine deutsche Autorin von Kinder- und Jugendbüchern. Sie absolvierte eine Ausbildung zur landwirtschaftlichen Lehrerin. 1933 heiratete sie Georg Richter. Aus der Ehe gingen 8 Kinder hervor. 1936 erschien ihr erstes Buch «Tapfere junge Susanne». Darauf folgen unzählige weitere Geschichten, die alle unter dem Pseudonym Lise Gast veröffentlicht wurden. Nach Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs floh Gast mit ihren Kindern nach Württemberg, wo sie sich vollkommen der Schriftstellerei widmete. Nachdem sie erfuhr, dass ihr Mann in der Tschechoslowakei in einem Kriegsgefangenenlager gestorben war, gründete sie 1955 einen Ponyhof und verwendete das Alltagsgeschehen auf diesem Hof als Inspiration für ihre Geschichten. Insgesamt verfasste Gast etwa 120 Bücher und war neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Schriftstellerin auch als Kolumnistin aktiv.-

Das von S. Schechter 1910 in Kairo entdeckte, in gutem Hebräisch abgefasste Werk handelt von einer religiösen Gemeinde in Damaskus und ihren Regeln. Vielfach ist der Text ein Mosaik aus alttestamentlichen Stellen. Ein zweiter kleinerer Text unterscheidet sich vom ersten fast nur durch andere biblische Zitate. Inhaltlich ist das Ganze auffallend dürftig. In der Wertschätzung der Propheten und in der Betonung der Buße und göttlicher Barmherzigkeit zeigen sich essenische Züge. In wichtigen Stücken berührt sich das Werk mit dem «Buch des Lichtes», das von einem karaitischen Gelehrten im 10. nachchristlichen Jahrhundert verfasst wurde. Auffallend sind auch die Berührungen mit dem N. T.
