Das vorliegende Buch beschäftigt sich mit dem schulischen Drittpracherwerb des Spanischen und untersucht, wie die spanischen Vergangenheitstempora erworben werden und inwiefern sprachliche Vorkenntnisse diesen Erwerbsprozess beeinflussen. Eine mit mehr als hundert Schüler*innen durchgeführte empirische Untersuchung liefert Evidenz dafür, dass vor allem Englisch- und Französischvorkenntnisse einen positiven Einfluss haben, allerdings in unterschiedlichen semantischen Kontexten. Der Autor plädiert daher für einen sprachvernetzenden Unterricht, der sich an den Prinzipien der Mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktik orientiert.
