“Positive, Vanessa. You take care of Ian, I got the rest.”

“Okay thanks, Bret. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

I turn to see Ian standing there with a smile on his face.

“See, all taken care of. Now, you can stay with me.”

“No…now we have to go look at houses, but first we need to talk.”

“Coffee first, then talk.” He tells me and pulls out a chair.

I take a seat at the island while Ian pours us each a cup.

      “Cream? Sugar?”

      “Do you have skim milk?”

“No, sorry that I do not have.”

“Okay, black with two sugars then please.”

He fixes us both cups and comes to sit next to me. “Ian, listen….”

Before I get another word out, he kisses me, then pulls back and says, “Good morning, Vanessa.”

I laugh. “I think we are a little late for that.”

Laughing back at me he says. “Better late than never. So, what is it you want to talk about?”

I take a deep breath.“Until last night, Ian I’ve never been with anyone, but Shayne and I know now that I can’t go back. He told me last night we shouldn’t get married. It does not matter if he meant it or not, I can’t go back after what I’ve done.”

      “What we’ve done, Vanessa.”

“However you want to say it, Ian…I CAN’T GO BACK!” I start to cry. “I may be just a fling to you, and that’s okay, but I need to figure out where to go…what to do next.”

“For one, don’t ever refer to yourself as just a ‘fling’ I. AM. NOT. OKAY. WITH. THAT!” He growls out. “As for where you’ll go and what you will do…that’s easy, you will stay with me.”

“Oh no, Ian! I can’t do that, no way!”

      “I don’t see a problem with it.”

“We barely know each other, Ian.”

“Oh, I beg to differ. I’d say after last night we know each other pretty well.”

“Sexually, yes! But that’s as far as it goes.”

“We are spending the day together; we will get to know one another.”

“It doesn’t happen in a day, Ian! I am going to stay with Brytney…or maybe my brother.”

      “So, you deny me?”

      “Yes, Ian! I am!”

With a swift move he has me over his knee, my robe pulled up over my bare ass. “I told you before what happens when I am denied.”

      “Ian, no! You wouldn’t!”

CRACK! His palm goes across my ass. Holy shit! He did it …he really smacked my ass.

“You ready for the next one?”

      “Ian, please!”

“I can make this pleasurable, Vanessa…all you have to do is say you’re sorry for denying me.”

“I’M SORRY!” I yell it fast and loud. He places two fingers into my sex pulling them in and out.

“Does that feel better?” He says while rubbing my sex.

      “Yes.” I moan.

      “Good!”

CRACK! His palm against my ass again while fingering my sex. I feel myself clench around his fingers, not feeling any pain.

“Good girl.” He slides his fingers out…sits me back on the chair. “Now, as I was saying…you will stay with me?”

I just nod my head…my emotions running in all directions.

“Now, let’s finish our coffee; then we will go over Bret’s list and figure out where to start.”

      Chapter Fourteen

“Bret sure did put together one hell of a list! Let’s start with the furthest location and make our way back.” I suggest to Ian.

“That’s good. The longer the list, the longer I get to spend with you.”

“Ian, this is a work day…which means strictly business.”

“If you say so,” He says with a cocky grin. “Okay, you ready?”

“Yeah, let’s get started.” I grab my purse, phone, and the list. Flipping the screen on my phone, I check for any missed calls or text. There’s none, not that I expected Shayne to try. “Let’s start with these in Cook County, there are four of them. Two are Lake Front, and the other two are wooded acreage.”

“You’re the boss. Once we get to the car, you can put the first one into the GPS.”

Picking me up he places me on the four-wheeler, but this time he sits in front of me. I wrap my arms around his waist.

“Hold on tight, I’m going to make this fast.” I feel the adrenaline rush through me…he drove at a nice pace last night, but now it’s light out…the sun is just enough to take the chill out the October air. Not that I feel the chill with the heat penetrating between our bodies. “Here we go.” And he takes off going faster and faster as he switches gear; taking turns at full speed. My smile is wide…the wind in my hair, what a rush. And it’s over too soon, he slows as we approach the building. I see a shadow moving around, someone is in there.

Ian steps down then helps me off, lifting me higher then he needed to…he slides me down his body catching my lips as they pass his. I kiss him back, it feels natural, like we’ve been doing it our whole lives.

I hear a throat clear; I pull away from him and look over to the doorway and see a tall man with curly blonde hair, slightly built, older…maybe mid forty’s. Ian places my feet on the ground, takes my hand and walks towards him.

“Morning, Colt,” Ian says to him.

“Good morning, boss. I was just heading out to fill the woodshed, figure the new owners would appreciate that.”

“Thank you, Colt…if you have time, I want all the equipment checked in the building. All of it is staying except for this one here…you can leave it out for us we’ll be back, tonight.” I give his hand a squeeze, he gets what I’m hinting at. “Colt, this is Vanessa…she will be staying with me here until I find another place.”

“Nice to meet you, Vanessa. You’ll love it here, too bad you don’t have much time to enjoy it.”

I smile. “Nice to meet you…I agree, this place in amazing. I will be sure to enjoy every moment I can here.”

“Well, I’ll let you two get out of here. Have a good day.”

“Thanks, Colt,” we both say together. “You do the same.”

Heading around to the car, Ian grabs my hand and pulls me around to the other side of the building. “We will be taking this.” He says.”

I look up and see a Jeep…it’s completely decked out with every accessory, from the roof racks to the over-sized tires. “Oh, I like this!”

He has to pick me up to help me in. The large tires and lift don't make it easy for me to reach the running board. I’m not short at five foot seven inches…and could probably manage it with some effort, but I’d much rather have it this way. Once he is in, he starts the Jeep up…presses a couple buttons, a GPS screen comes to life. “There you go…just type in the address, and we will be set to go.”
