does not exist a purely visual language, for we name what we see with distinct particulars of utilitarian sounds. Symbols, then, only to vision and sound, represent instrumental mental replay. This is dualistic inductive increment for secondary exchange.

Sound becomes a jarring mechanism that is ignobly erected and contrived as word symbology, then, as knowledge, validated. Through the use of such base instruments of sound, chains of speech are formed from and for memory enhancement and manipulation of ideas. Through the use of matching reciprocal glossaries, tags and labels become agreeable terms. That which is retained in memory becomes subconscious affect. This is manifest tokenism. We are trapped inside label manifest for outcome.

The agreement process is enacted through sound and speech that are residuals of paradox think. The mind is, then, set in holding: impasse. Impasse is correct action framing.

We use the written word to express what is locked in impasse. Selection and distinction of sound blocks afferent cognition and maintains speech as the common denominator of knowledge in definitive and wanted circumstance. Knowledge supersedes combined sixth sense. The illusion of time and action becomes symbolic momentum, as circumstance becomes symbolic momentum. We automatically respond to and converge upon sound and sight that suggest movement: We are in love with action and speed. Momentum is the turning of symbols as though on a conveyor. Time is moved by verb until all practical language is transitory and vacuous, so quickly does implied and specified meaning shift. Jargon is jargon, no matter that it comes from the street, from law, from journalistic news or from electronic communication. Designer words are as fashionably fickle as designer clothes.

Memory is enhanced by the vibratory patterns of sound that imbue it with a self-assured existence in assumptive promise: One result for one effect. Momentum is favored for progress. Passive memory, still tied to the other senses, continues to throw information into the cerebral pot. The tracking of the external becomes muddled as the sixth sense matrix of touch, taste, smell and vision is overpowered by active memory pursuit of sound paralleled synthetically to word manifest. The ears, when used alone, are like blinders and mufflers: they impede the sensual being through selection of a priori half life information and assigned cohesive charge: the assured belief that words culminate and securely fashion chains of words and translate and transport artificially converging knowledge into resource, empowerment or resultant end. Tomorrow is future bright by disregard of all effective action upon accepted promise.

Words are but tiny props for support of the grand momentum of entity. Our labels are the names by which we deceive ourselves and with which we surround ourselves in a superfluous right and feigned good that is begot by manipulation accepted and in want to join and use.

Our pride in knowledge and our steadfast ability to agree becomes a mask for the searching, convulsing self, the thing that we seek to destroy through reason. In our dreams, we ache for the self that seems to elude us when it does not elude us at all; rather, it is we who will not come face to face. The R.I.P. is always present.

In repose, the sensual dimension claims the sleeping body with its assimilation and rumination of thought. We long for our dignity and of dignity we are unworthy. To know oneself first requires sincerity: The sapient specie is cunning and dividing even unto itself. In R.I.P., the creature, behind solid layers, is defective but is convinced, through agreement, that it is acting by right. Blame is manifold intent without concern for its actions.

Dignity is that which cannot be sanctioned—cannot be bought and sold nor propped up nor pretended. Our pride in the building of half life in word is willingly applied, by us, to the imprisonment of full life. The hasty taking of position, badges, medals, hats, crowns, certification and license appeals to our need for ersatz momentum.

Impasse has become so huge that the human being is dwarfed and humbled before the titanic presence of our own invention. We have built it well and made it sturdy: It can destroy us. It is hungry and demanding and employs sound as its ally and adjutant. Sound is the It and the Voice that controls and commands the minds of things: It demands agreement to its dominion. It cannot survive outside impasse. But it seals all exits from the noisy mouth of its labyrinth.

There was a time, some two thousand years ago, when speech and the reverberation of the written word had little value for persuasion and inveigling. As those charged with the authority of entity came to understand the use of language for the dissipation of individual will in favor of group will, language and speech became the postulates used to annul the human being. Tolerance levels could be stretched and pulled. The human being could be misshaped: twisted and contorted as reason could be moved about and relocated. The promise enhanced itself by following.

The voice of reason besieged the frail being that is human and cast it into a netherworld of made meaning and control. The more that this inferno was stoked and fed, the louder the treacherous voice of the moving it became until it made demands for place and position and status. Sound and momentum became the glory and the power. Man was moving, and moving in speed was rapture. The world has not been the same since the voice became It and It became paradox.

As the sound of the voice of It increased in volume, in speed and acuity, those who professed love for its noise were given ancillary jobs and a share in the agreement of future promise. From a proud and errant seed grew a many-tentacled spectacle wrapping its coils around the essence that is human, wringing it of its natural gentility and replacing it with the deadness of compliance. Brave by reason of size and bold by reason of authority, it gained control over all new sounds. Meaning became aligned with motion, speed, consumption and power.

Voice tagged and recorded new symbols and saved them. It wrote its own excuse and called it history, rife with half fact for designed truth and innovative lambastes and censoring jargon. It learned failsafe. It, as entity, sought reprieve and salvation from its own plunderous bargaining and smarmy promise, and it granted itself, in agreement, such relief. The voice of It justifies and redeems itself always. It takes no blame but assigns it. Without blame loop, it falters. If paradox falls, entity will find more powerful bromides with which to brand and subdue its miscreants.

In the twentieth century, It evolved, through technology, into a thing of unprecedented entitlement. It could move at the speed of sound itself. The voice of It became as close to its subjects as a local television broadcast and as intimate as a video recorder. Endless pictures of widespread waste and desolation inflicted by the voice of It flashed and blinked and crackled from all appliances of broadcast media. Pictures became the word. The voice of It soared above the minions who adhered to its oily promise and agreed to its purpose and, yet, mourned the loss of their volition. No vote could appease it and no prayer could temper it.

Intention and duty to intention confirmed synthetic time. No longer did the voice require sanction. It became sanction and it decreed sanction and bequeathed it. The voice, as function, became its own failsafe.

Falsified paradox is impasse, last reason held: It is the voice of last reason. Last reason is reason extinguished, and the middle will not hold.

Fear of the unknown is the shame that becomes reason. What is more deafening: Secret voice against silence or secret silence against voice? Innate fear is automatic and unconscious. Fear of fear is exponential subconscious knowledge and fear of the unknown, then, is a semblance of knowledge: impulsive, slick and cunning. With its own primordial pool, it is a merciless predator.

Fear that is without disclaiming fear is the interrogative of self. Fear is the question mark that is the key for opening all shut doors. Fear is friend to the beast and its liberator. Fear is friend: To walk through the doors to self, one need only touch it. By opening the doors to self, what would be fear is not fear, for it is through fear that we question motive when impasse reason is challenged.

Does religion encourage us to interrogate ourselves through natural fear or does it reinforce the barricades of iconic fear? Is religion about God or about the implantation of iconic fear? Does religion embrace fear of the unknown as misrepresented fear of another implanted counter-fear—for use as a saving grace and a hooking promise for those who think that they need a safe anti-fear religion and a god of resignation who can subdue interrogative fear—without, even once, getting close to the one complete sensual self?
