David Zieroth's Albrecht Dürer and me, an autobiographical travelogue spanning the author’s journeys through central Europe, explores the transformative effect of dislocation. Плоть, тело, мясо, жир, персть, прах… Дом, в котором обитает бессмертная душа – её одежда, её питательная среда и форма. Многие, впрочем, полагают, что и души-то никакой нет – а лишь материя, плоть. Чем, однако, полагают? Сознанием? А что такое сознание?.. Мы как раз, в данном случае, – о плоти, о материи; душа здесь – в роли альтернативы. "Но в полночь смолкнут тварь и плоть…" (см. Б.Пастернак). Мои же стихи – из "Белогорских циклов" с 32-го по 45-ый. Для обложки использована работа Анны Власовой. А плоть наша – как бы там ни было! – заслуживает самого пристального внимания и сохранения. Содержит нецензурную брань.
