       COMMENTARY 2020–2021

       A WORD FROM THE PUBLISHER

      To Our Readers,

Thank you for your continued support through the years. We are so glad you have decided to share in the Lord’s Gospel with us through this resource. For more than a century, Boyd’s Commentary for the Sunday School has been a staple in Christian education. This year’s book has been thoughtfully prepared through thorough exegesis, engaging theology, and spiritual meditation and prayer.

As you walk through this year’s lessons, we hope they will aid you along with the direction of the Holy Spirit. In trying times such as these, it is important to remain steadfast in calling for effective leadership and maintaining hope for a better future. This year has brought on the COVID-19 pandemic, continued racial unrest, economic turmoil, war and disease running rampant, police brutality taking the lives of our youth, hatred rearing its ugly head, and the ever-present effects of systemic racism. Now, possibly more than ever, building strong leaders with sound biblical knowledge and integrity is vital. Our goal is to equip readers with a solid foundation for making effective change.

Again, thank you for your support. As you enjoy this resource, please visit our website, www.rhboyd.com, and follow us on social media @rhboydco to stay abreast of all the resources offered by R.H. Boyd.

       A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

      Greetings!

For well over a century, Boyd’s Commentary has been a reliable resource for those who desire in-depth theological and biblical exposition. The biblical text for examination has been selected by the Committee of Uniformed Series for International Study. The text has been thoroughly and prudently investigated using the appropriate skills and tools for biblical exegesis in an effort to develop a solid biblical hermeneutic that speaks to the issues of modern-day believers. You also can be assured this commentary has been developed by people of faith who serve as pastors, Bible instructors, seminary professors, Christian writers and editors, associate ministers, and in other capacities. Our goal is to provide you with a commentary that will more than meet your needs as you apply the biblical message to enlighten your congregation, class groups, and others of the will of God for their lives. Our goal, hope, and prayer is that Boyd’s Commentary for the Sunday School will serve your biblical and theological training needs. Thank you for your continued patronage of our products.

      Yours in Christ,
