      6 Noah was six hundred years old, and then the flood came—

      waters upon the earth.

      7 Noah, with his sons, his wife, and the wives of his sons,

      entered the ark because of the waters of the flood.

      8 From the clean domestic animals,

      from the domestic animals that are not clean,

      from the birds, and all the ones that move upon the ground,

      9 as pairs, they entered to Noah,

      into the ark, male and female,

      as Elohim had commanded Noah.

      10 After seven days, the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

      11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life,

      in the second month,

      on the seventeenth day of the month,

      on that day,

      they burst forth all fountains of [the] great deep,64

      and the windows of the heavens were opened.

      12 Then came the rain upon the earth,

      forty days and forty nights.

      13 On that very day,

      Noah entered, with Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah,

      with his wife, and the three wives of his sons into the ark—

      14 they and all the living with their kind:

      all the domestic animals with their kind,

      all the moving ones, the ones who move upon the earth, with their

       kind,

      and all the birds with their kind—all birds of every wing.

      15 They came to Noah, into the ark as pairs,

      From all the flesh that had within it spirit of life.

      16 The ones who entered were male and female from all flesh;
