time for our conversation tomorrow?” – Tanya asked.

“Listen, my wife will make kachamak[10] in the morning, we will bring curdled milk, we will have breakfast together and I will continue this story. I don’t have appointed massages till second half of day.”

He left to meditate, because he surely does it irrespective of how many work was done and when it ended, and we stayed to look pictures of his work. Massage as massage. It seems that nothing special. But when at the end we were seeing those people, who hardly reached, or those which were brought to him, after treatment can easily walk, and naysayers as we, slowly receive absolutely other picture of his opportunities and capabilities to cure people. One patient, the second, third, fifth… All come in accordance with the established procedure. Miki massages continuously by several hours. Hands of many of us from permanent job would be hurt and he told that at the end of the day he feels as nothing was done.

“We wish so much to be capable to do like that”, – Tanya told and we laughed.

And then there was a picture of the person who had a stroke which Miki handled differently from the previous patients. He put hands on his head, strained and we had a feeling that veins which appeared on a forehead will break off at any time. He used all his strength to force the patient to utter some word. In spite of the fact, that he can tell something, but only unclear words.

“Tomorrow somehow we should begin a conversation on this massage that Miki explained to us whether it is possible to help this person” – Zoran told.

“I think that he agreed to tell us everything and now everything goes one after another, and we will be patient and we will wait when the queue reaches the subject interesting us” – Mark answered.

Again, attentively reconsidered record and paid special attention to that as Miki addressed to the patient:

“Dragan, came to me too late. In an onset of the illness I would make everything for several days or weeks. In such status now we need about a year and more, so I could force you to begin to speak. The main thing is that we managed to force to work your hand and leg so now you can move”.

This, unknown to us person, only shook his head and spoke:

      “A pas – a not – pas – she…”

At this moment Marks’ phone rang out.

“Yes, boss, – answered Mark. Everything is ok. Yes, yes, yes. Now I will explain in two words. Boss, we began to speak with him and he agreed to tell us all story about his grandfather. He touched upon this subject, but he decided to tell us everything in sequence. We mounted cameras and microphones to film each his step. He promised us to tell everything, but he is interrupted permanently by patients who come to him for a massage. The beginning of his story is very interesting because it describes his childhood, an early age and training with his grandfather to become the Elect. A little bit long story about it, but it is incredibly interesting. Tomorrow we’ll have much more time so we will hear from him much more information. Well, well. We will do it in that a way, boss”.

He finished phone conversation and then turned to us:

“Guys, boss released our hands, wants us to continue listening this most interesting story till the end”.

Morning began with kachamak prepared on Montenegro manner. As in old times spoke – you will lick fingers! We had breakfast and then, while Miki’s wife and Tanya cleared the table and washed the dishes, Miki’s story proceeded from the place where it was interrupted.

Morning was as anything another. My grandfather and great – grandfather went to Plav.

“The day has come, – my great – grandfather thought, – when my family either survives, or will die”.

“Father, don’t think that we will die. You will see, father, how much money you will bring home!”

“Son, most of all I’m complained about cadi Idriz and envious Goyko than about our Galonya and all money of this world “.

“Father, I tell you again, you will see as Goyko will be dishonored and to his mind won’t come an idea to humiliate somebody any more. And the cadi will be on our party today, and several days later everything, he will undertake, will go wrong.“

“And what do you think, sonny, if the cadi demands to take you away to Turkey on service to the sultan. Many children were taken away from there and the janissaries were made of them “.

“Today, father, much will occur and the cadi will be busy with it. One person, who will be with him, will try to offer it to him, but I will stop it”.

So, these two astride a faithful horse called Putk reached the city of Plav. The whole world gathered here. The message about fight of bulls at ten o’clock and that after the fight the lost bull will be killed was by word of mouth transferred. When my grandfather and great – grandfather appeared – all stopped. The cadi and the unknown pasha sat on a podium from boards which was made for them at that day. Great – grandfather tied the horse. Both approached and bowed to the cadi and the pasha.

“Highly respected cadi, as you ordered I brought my son for you to see him, – my great – grandfather spoke.

The cadi got up from a chair and began to turn around my grandfather and to examine him from all directions. And my grandfather was the puny and weak child of incomplete eight years. Nobody would tell that he can lift anything heavier a spoon and not that he has some force. Then the cadi addressed Goyko:

“And you say that this child could bewitch their ox that he has been so developed?”

“Yes, highly respected cadi. There are many witnesses who will confirm that nobody in our region keeps and don’t feed the cattle better than me. How it is possible, highly respected cadi, to compare the ox fattened by a grass with an ox which is given oats, slops and scraps?”

The cadi has turned to my grandfather:

“It is true that you were bitten by a venomous snake? This person tells the truth about you?”

My grandfather has again bowed to the cadi and has answered:

“Highly respected cadi, today is the happiest day for your insignificant servant who inclines to your legs and whom will listen both highly respected to the cadi, and highly respected pasha, and many viziers, and respectable soldiers of the Great Ottoman Empire. What child can be happier than me?”

“Good fellow, child, good fellow. You have told it beautifully, but not answered my question”.

“Highly respected cadi, it is the truth, the venomous snake has bitten me more than a year ago and only the Grace of God has kept me life. My father, to thank God, that has preserved me, has led me to the monastery where I have spent year serving and praying for a remission of sins and thanking God for his favor. There, highly respected cadi, I have learned to read, write and consider. There, highly respected pasha, I listened to many stories. Most of all I liked the story about the highly respected cadi Idriz who, when served in the city of Mostar, has jumped in a well to save the child of the orthodox poor woman”.

The indescribable pleasure was reflected in the opinion of the cadi and the pasha.

“Child, – has addressed the cadi my grandfather, – I told nobody about it, but I see that kind priest Nikifor who witnessed, have worked that these events haven’t been forgotten. Hence, this was interpreted in the monastery?”

“So, highly respected the cadi”, – my grandfather has begun to explain and people have calmed down, they listen and don’t pronounce a uniform word. – They interpreted your great righteousness when you have given the order to punish the Turkish soldiers who haven’t allowed orthodox believers to communion before Easter”.

“Listen people! – Shouted the cadi. – Both now and always I said that it is necessary to respect each belief, and this child the witness of my correctness and gossips which are retailed about me. Who doesn’t respect foreign belief, will deal with me”.

      “So… Be healthy, the cadi… Good fellow… –
