What is the opposite of love? Many would say hate, but studying the Bible reveals that it is actually fear. Fear leads us to make harmful decisions and live unproductive, unhappy, and unfruitful lives. Love is the key to a fruitful life, but love must be more than a feeling. Love must be an action, a choice. Choosing love over fear is the most powerful choice we can make.Kenny Vaughan brings this timeless discussion back to the forefront of our spiritual exploration by teaching us to view life as a fruit-bearing tree. When we feed the roots with love, the tree flourishes, and we enjoy the blessings that grow upon it. If we deprive our roots, however—if we allow fear to cut us off from love—then the whole tree withers and dies. Utilizing both Scripture and anecdotes from modern life, The Right Fight teaches us how to tend our roots, grow our fruit, and, through the grace of God, cast fear out for good.

The Celts called them “Thin Places”—the experience of acute awareness of the presence of God, a fleeting moment when heaven and earth converge. How can we describe and discuss the accents of the Hebrew Bible? This volume is extracted from a music statistics database derived from the accents in the Leningrad codex. It is intended as a reference book and explanations for evaluating the data about the accents (cantillation signs) in the Hebrew Bible. It illustrates the effectiveness and clarity of the deciphering key that is used for the music. Here we see at last a clear exposition of how to explain sequences of accents without the contortions required by a Ptolmaic view of them. Sequences of accents below the text describe musical phrases and intervals based on consecutive reciting notes. Accents above the text allow for ornamentation. This separation of function reveals astonishing beauty, restores the tone of voice, and clarifies the text. The Progression of the Music is volume 10 of the series, The Hebrew Bible and Its Music.

How will we fathom the three great books of prophecies, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel? These three books are the first section of the later prophets. Isaiah is filled with songs to be sung. Imagine the original melodies of the song for the vineyard, or the thrice repeated Holy of the Cherubim, and the musical shape of the Servant Songs. Imagine Jeremiah meditating on the first chapter of Genesis as he laments the destruction of the temple and the exile of the people. Imagine his sadness expressed in the music embedded in the text itself, and hear the music from Genesis 1 as a counterpoint. Hear the chanting of Ezekiel, from the likeness of the four living creatures, to the vision of the temple, to the name of the city. Imagine comparing the music of the first dwelling specified in Exodus to that of the last, revealed in Ezekiel. The Major Prophets is volume 3 of the series, The Hebrew Bible and Its Music.

Consider that for the past 40 years, a staggering 56 million Americans have been killed by abortion. It claims the lives of over 1.2 million children every year, or roughly one child every 25 seconds. So why isn't the American church doing something to stop this atrocity, which is the greatest holocaust in American history? The majority of American churches, God’s institutions for spreading the gospel of peace and defending the weak and innocent, remain silent. Feeding the poor, stopping human trafficking, rescuing children from abuse, and protecting women from exploitation are all issues the church is addressing. Yet abortion remains eerily absent from the list of church priorities in America. Why is abortion not the church's highest priority? Is the American church silent because abortion has become politicized and church leaders are afraid to discuss it or because we simply don’t know what the Bible says about it? What will cause the church to wake up, rise up and take this issue to task to save our children? In his latest book, Deliver Us From Abortion: Awakening the Church to End the Killing of America’s Children, Brian Fisher, co-founder and President of Online for Life, breaks the veil of silence and uncovers the reality of abortion in the church, what the Bible really says about it, and how God has empowered His church to end this unspeakable tragedy.

A fascinating mix of personal history, heartfelt insights, biblical analysis, and a great deal of humor, Borrowed Goods is an exploration of spiritual growth and the untapped potential residing in all of us. In this inspirational work, Nell Christianson reminds us that everything we possess – our strengths, our intelligence, and our worldly goods – comes directly from God, and if we utilize our talents, our lives will have eternal purpose. She builds much of her discussion around Matthew 25: 14-30, the Parable of the Talents, and challenges us to make good choices and use our gifts and talents wisely. The book speaks of reward and responsibility. Borrowed Goods takes you on a prodigal’s journey aboard a cruise ship called “Earth.” As a passenger you arrive at your final destination to meet a loving God who wants a personal relationship with you. And God, a righteous Judge, requires accountability when you dock on the other shore.
