Time is short. A horse is in danger. Can cowgirl Cassie and her sidekick Jasper rescue the horse from the owner’s villainous son? Or will the mare go to the local auction and meet a bad end? Чешуекрылые или бабочки – один из самых крупных отрядов насекомых. В Ростовской области обитает не менее 1500 видов. Фауна чешуекрылых южных регионов России находится в постоянной динамике из-за климатических и антропогенных факторов. Но неверным было бы утверждение об её постепенном обеднении. Например, за последние 100-150 лет в степных регионах стало больше лесных видов бабочек. Появляются также инвазивные виды из далёких зоогеографических провинций. Особенностью формирования фауны чешуекрылых и других насекомых в степной зоне является ярко выраженная концентрация видового разнообразия на ограниченных по площади участках, которые окружены агроценозами, где постоянно применяются инсектициды для борьбы с вредителями. Поэтому, в целом, энтомофауна находится под угрозой, особенно при усилении химизации сельского хозяйства без жёстких мер экологического контроля со стороны государства.
