In 2016, McKenna made history by becoming the first woman ever to win the Country Music Association’s Song of the Year two years in a row thanks to cowriting Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” and penning Tim McGraw’s number one “Humble and Kind” solo. Tim McGraw’s performance of the song at the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards resulted in 64,000 sales for the week.
