Bedside Story Collection SeriesАннотация
This is the eighth book in a 12 book Bedside Story Collection Series spanning across the 12 months of the year. Each of the 12 bedside stories is reprinted in color from the author’s black and white third edition book Twelve Upon A Time. Each monthly story is unique and illustrated by the original drawings of children whose interpretation of the words can only be seen through their eyes. This August bedside story is entitled The “Yad Gnihton Taerg” on the Mirror Planet that celebrates the “Yad Gnihton Taerg” on the mirror planet Tenalp in the central city of Rorrim, a celebration that occurs just once every 500 years. This August bedside story and all the stories are written to further the imagination of children and to strengthen the parent and child bond through the sharing of heartwarming, silly, absurd and believably impossible tales. Watch for September’s bedside collection story The Underground Adventure that shares the heartwarming story about animal friends who want to make the end of summer a special one for their human friends before going back to school. About the Author: As a doctorate level practitioner serving school children for more than 35 years, Edward Galluzzi became keenly aware that children and their parents often had in short supply what families needed the most: open communication and sharing time together. The Bedside Story Collection Series was written to provide families a moment here and a moment there to come together and share heart warming, silly and believably unbelievable tales. The stories are tied typically to the main holiday or theme of each month, more or less. The characters in the stories are based on what children relate to the most… animals and other children. There are also over 100 colored drawings sketched by children ranging from 7 months to 12 years of age. The stories from Mr. Galluzzi’s imagination and the drawings from theirs come together to stimulate the imaginations of children and open a whole new world for parents and their children to share. That is his gift to your family. Time for sharing… time for laughing… time for talking… time for each other. Not once upon a time, but Twelve Upon A Time....

Indeed You Can: A True Story Edged in Humor to Inspire All Ages to Rush Forward with Arms Outstretched and Embrace Life - Elleta Nolte
Аннотация
Age was only an illusionary figure in Elleta Nolte’s life, not to be taken seriously. She enrolled at age 71 as a freshman at a prestigious univer-sity from which six of her nine children graduated. At age 89, she earned a Degree in General Studies and graduated with her granddaughter Rebecca. Elleta is a writer of regional history, but this, her eighth book, is a departure from that norm, for at her graduation, many people of all ages said to her, “You need to tell people what you did and what they can do, that age can have a positive effect on their lives.” her book, Indeed You Can, is that telling, as she relates many of the humorous and profound details of her learning experience: “I greeted each day on campus as a new beginning—the best of the rest of my life. I felt forty of my years melt away when I set foot amid the rushing, bustling aura of the campus filled with the leaders of tomorrow. I wasn’t a finished product; in my heart I was young again, anxious to test new ground and gain new knowledge.” Elleta’s offbeat sense of humor welcomed the campus comments: from her professor in her electronic media class who said, “I never knew I’d have a student older than radio,” to the students who asked, “Why would you want to do that… What are you going to be when you grow up?” Elleta’s words are for all ages in all roles of life. May they inspire you to use the strength and talents that are uniquely yours to enter a world of change in your routine, to not place your mind on hold, but place it on roam to set new goals and follow new paths, to add a little daring to your life, a few what ifs…what if I… Indeed you can. About the Author: Elleta Nolte (shown with her husband Quenton in 1993) is a writer of regional history in the forms of books, articles, and presentations and an advocate of learning. After the sixth of her nine children graduated from Texas Tech University, she enrolled as a freshman at age 71. She graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies in 2008 at the age of 89. Elleta lives in Lubbock, Texas and is mother of nine children and a multitude of grandchildren. She and her husband shared a love for 63 years until his death a year before her graduation. She is still learning and writing.

What if peace of mind, beautiful feelings, little or no stress, wonderful, healthy relationships and greater effectiveness, were right at your fingertips, and you held the key but didn’t realize it or didn't know how to use it? That is what “Somebody Should Have Told Us!” This book is about how we all have a state of perfect mental health and wisdom inside us that can only be covered up by our own thinking, and how our use of our power of thought creates the “reality” we see, out of which we then think, feel and act. Here are ten simple but profound truths for living well, arising from three spiritual facts that, once grasped or truly realized, can transform one’s life. This book has the ability to spawn insights that change the lives of those who come to understand the simple, yet profound wisdom contained in this book. In fact, it already has. This book is the essence of self-help, in that it points people inside themselves for all answers. It shows people how to access their own essence whenever they need to. It shows people how they create their experience of life moment to moment. The book is written in an easy-to-understand manner with many stories of how people’s lives have changed. When we were growing up nobody told us what this book points to, but somebody should have told us! And it's never too late. About the Author: Jack Pransky, Ph.D. is founder/director of the Center for Inside-Out Understanding. He authored the books, Modello: A Story of Hope for the Inner City and Beyond, Parenting from the Heart, Prevention from the Inside-Out; Prevention: The Critical Need and co-authored Healthy Thinking/ Feeling/Doing from the Inside-Out prevention curriculum for middle school students. Pransky has worked in the field of prevention since 1968 in a wide variety of capacities and now provides consultation, training, counseling and coaching from the inside-out, throughout the U.S. and internationally. He is also cofounder/director of the nonprofit consulting organization, Prevention Unlimited, which created the Spirituality of Prevention Conference. In 2001 his book, Modello received the Martin Luther King Storyteller’s Award for the book best exemplifying King’s vision of “the beloved community,” and in 2004 Jack won the Vermont Prevention Pioneer’s Award.
