what is the anthropocene? it is the geologic epoch in which humankind is actively and significantly affecting the planet. things that come to mind are global warming, the current pandemic and catastrophes like that. but it also means infrastructure, technological advances, space travel. it is not all bad. it is not all good. much like most things.
i also use the word «poetry» very broadly here, as this has even more chapters that barely even qualify. are they short stories instead? probably! do i know where one ends and the other begins with the style of writing i am using here? not really! let's generously call it «prose poetry».
but stick with me here, trust me a little. i think you'll find that it might be worth it & make you realise that, even if you did not know the anthropocene by name, it has been on your mind already, ever-present in the background.

following the story of a medieval king who falls in battle and makes their way through the underworld back up to their kingdom. poems that barely count as poems and illustrations that barely count as such. thoughts that arose during quarantine and while imagining a life and beyond that is more magical than the one we are currently stuck in. a lot of drama dirt and death in this one, be sure to read the trigger warnings at the beginning and proceed with caution.

a collection of poems that follow the story of a fallen angel finding worth within themselves where they thought there was none. also explores some thoughts about the Anthropocene and the world and nature. trigger warnings for death, mild gore and many mentions of god in somewhat profane and very metaphorical ways. more warnings are included in the notes section of the collection.
