Sofía es una niña de ocho años de familia de clase media, de gran madurez e inteligencia para su edad. Además de poseer gran talento para el canto, el baile y la actuación, Sofía sueña con convertirse en una Superstar. Solo hay un detalle que parece separarla de su sueño; padece de leucemia en fase terminal, por lo que se propone en una noche conocer a Dios, y con la ayuda de dos grandes aliados, el Cuervo y el Dr. Robins, comenzarán una delirante y loca aventura, que te mostrará mundos llenos de misterios combinados con diversión, color y mucha magia. La música también se hace presente en esta historia que asegura, ser el mejor entretenimiento y diversión para los más pequeños de la casa y para toda la familia, sin dejar a un lado la reflexión que nos deja esta maravillosa historia.
Así pues lo más interesante de Sofía Superstar es que tiene diversos niveles de lectura del subtexto según la edad que tengamos y los eventos de vida que hayamos vivido, y todo esto impregnado de un humor inteligente y un ambiente musical divertido, como para que nadie se despida, de la lectura o de la sala, sin un pedacito de la vida de Sofía, la hermosa niña con cáncer que nos lleva a viajar en sus fantasías con sus amigos el Cuervo de Poe y el Payaso de Hospital, hasta que se convierte en una Superstar, y nosotros junto a ella. Por cierto, hace poco leí la pieza teatral para niños que escribió Daniel Vásquez luego de Sofía Superstar, allí también es hermosamente atrevido, ya que tocó el tema que faltaba en la triada de la que habla el psicoanálisis, la sexualidad humana. Pero de eso, hablaremos en otro momento, por ahora, disfrutemos de Sofía Superstar: ¡Buen Provecho!
