The works of the laureate of international literary prizes, the cavalier of the Order of Friendship Marcel Salimov are well-known not only in Russia but also abroad. He is the author of about forty books, translated into many languages. As the classic of Russian literature Sergey Mikhalkov has correctly pointed out, the laughter of the prominent Bashkir writer, the bright satirist is always social as his characters are taken from the people's lives. And so are the heroes of the story «The Bird's Milk», with whom the reader will be able to make an interesting journey through the Russian province and even on the Moon.

…I had been tormented by all sorts of ‘Niusi-Musi’ horrible stories for a long time, until one day I’ve got a fogless and terrible dream. It was on the eve of my anniversary. I turned fifty.
I dreamed that I was in Minino, on the top of the Karaulnaya Mountain, with my father and mother, who dead long ago, and I was covered in mud from head to toe. My parents were crying and they led me to the precipice. Father angrily began to shake his old homespun belt, which was familiar to me since my childhood, and mother said sobbing: ‘I told you, my beloved son, Ignatushka: one apple is enough to choke over. Nevertheless, you put all sorts of nasty things in your mouth… It is sad for us to suffer such a shame before our home folks’…
The action-packed story ‘Grandfather Ignat’ and other stories by Tamara Bulevich will touch feelings of all the readers. The characters of these striking works are the real gems of the Siberian land.

Titanic is the image of the Soviet Union. It was created by the mighty energy of the workers and the peasants.
But it had bad captains, and it came across the underwater ice mountains.
It is not enough to outline and to lay off a course, it is necessary to comprehend the objective laws of nature, to anticipate the obstacles and the difficulties of the way not to make disastrous mistakes.

The book «Confession of a Toastmaster» can be considered the guide of the Fates, Names, unique Cultures of the multinational Russian Soul at the meeting-point of the author’s fiction and publicism, where there is no explicit confrontation. And Shatakishvili performs with the apologia of the hidden decency: an aesthete, a fan and a true connoisseur of everything beautiful – from women’s beauty to the ringing silence. And the poet said about such people: «Could you play nocturne on a flute of drainpipes?»

Then came the evening.
The wind ceased at sunset.
The familiar streets gained a sort of twilight mystery, while your soul felt an easy anxiety, as the heart was visited by sweet pain that accompanies the first act of falling in love, when you don’t know what will be the upshot of it all.
Please postpone your engagements, dear reader. I suggest you recollect how it happens. In the story called « The Queen of the Night », you will fall in love with a young astrologer and will save an enchanted maiden soul from immortality.
I’ll take you along the invisible boundary between worlds and you’ll see which of them the heroine of the second story would choose.
Next, you manage to penetrate into the castle of an old witch; before your very eyes, Lorinde, wearing a live cloak, will fly from trembling birds…, ah, why I’m I telling you the story – pour yourself a cup of tea, light up the old family table lamp – what have you got? A green glass or with lacy old shade, and may be you have such with a lamp in the form of a candle fame and crystal icy suspensions? Sit comfortably on the chair, open the book and enjoy the vague mist of my stories.
