Roxana Silbert Director Roxana is Artistic Director of Birmingham Repertory Theatre and was an Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Roxana was Artistic Director of Paines Plough Theatre Company (2005-2009); Literary Director at the Traverse Theatre (2001-2004) and Associate Director, Royal Court (1998-2000). In 1997, Roxana was Associate Director of the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Recent credits include Dunsinane (National Theatre of Scotland and Royal Shakespeare Company); A Life of Galileo (Royal Shakespeare Company and Birmingham Repertory Theatre) and Tartuffe (Birmingham Repertory Theatre).
Jamie Vartan Designer Jamie Vartan is an award-winning designer, his current theatre credits include: Ballyturk (Galway Arts Festival 2014 and National Theatre). Previous theatre credits include: Misterman (Galway Arts Festival 2011, National Theatre and St Anne’s Warehouse, New York); The Hostage, Mrs Warren’s Profession and The Playboy of the Western World (National Theatre of Ireland) and Mass Observation (Almeida Theatre). Current work in opera includes: Romeo et Juliette (Herceg Novi Amphitheatre, Montenegro) and Manon Lescaut (Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, Valencia). His design for A Village Romeo and Juliet (Wexford Operai) won the Irish Times Best Set Design Award 2013.

Nathan Jones Visual & Projection Designer Nat Jones (aka Soopanatural) worked recently with Birmingham Repertory Theatre to create the visuals for The Legend Of Mike Smith, Soweto Kinch’s theatre production directed by Jonzi D. Other artistic collaborations have included Nike, Akala, Charlie Dark, Mark De Clive-Lowe, Boy Blue Entertainment, Brighton Hip Hop Festival and Nu Century Arts. Soopanatural Productions’ work has featured on BBC, at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Tate Modern, The REP, The Albany, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, York Jazz Festival, Cargo in Shoreditch, XOYO in London, The Wardrobe in Leeds, the Rome Coliseum and numerous other theatre venues, music festivals and clubs in Europe. Current projects include Lapetus Records (South Africa), The Legend Of Mike Smith and The Hip Hop Shakespeare Company’s production of Richard II which was at the Southbank Centre earlier this year.

Erin Gilley Assistant Director Previous assistant director credits at Birmingham Repertory Theatre include: Twelve Angry Men and A Life of Galileo. She is currently the Artistic Director of elastic future and was also the Artistic Producer of Magic Theatre in San Francisco. Most recently she directed the digital theatre performance Peek A Boo for LIFT. Other credits include: The Unauthorized Autobiography of Kim Deal and Beautiful (elastic future); Wreckage (Crowded Fire) and Equus (Boxcar Theatre). Erin studied theatre as an undergraduate at Princeton University and is currently on secondment at Birmingham Repertory Theatre as a Birkbeck MFA candidate.

Gayatri Jani Design Assistant Gayatri Jani is a designer with a multitude of skills, from her early background in Graphic Design, to a degree in Product Design bringing in the 3D world. Her true passion remained on stage and she continued this in her spare time. Her experience in 2D and 3D design has led her to creating and dressing scenery, props and images for live performances and short films. Gayatri is a highly experienced design assistant and her credits include: Women Of Hope – promotional material; October Wild Card (Sadler’s Wells) – set designer; Brood or Thought (short film) – production designer; Michael Jackson 51 (Curve Theatre) – props and promotional material.
