Часто она была очень самокритичной, грустной, потерявшей всякую надежду и даже думала про самоубийство. Она считала, что ситуация безнадежна. Но мы вместе работали над ее депрессией – и Линда выздоровела. После окончания терапии я не слышал о ней много лет.

      Но пару лет назад я получил от нее письмо. Она писала, что в последние годы ее семья переживала ужасные времена. Муж практически обанкротился, младшая дочь серьезно заболела, и в довершение всех бед умерла старшая дочь. Линда писала, что ей понадобились все изученные во время терапии инструменты, чтобы помочь себе пережить это, но с их помощью она справилась. Она приложила к письму фотографию своей семьи: она, муж и две дочери (одна из них сидела в инвалидной коляске). Линде пришлось преодолевать препятствия, с которыми сталкиваются не многие из нас, и сегодня она не испытывает депрессии.
