Anneliese ve arkadaşları, Pandemi ile ilgili yaptıkları bir çalışmada;
SM’da paniğin Covid – 19 dan daha hızlı yayıldığını, ırkçılığın tekrar hortladığını, Çin lokantalarına, Çin den gelen mallara karşı çıkıldığını bildirmişlerdir(42). Covid – 19 Pandemisinde SM nın yarattığı bu diasporayı ortadan kaldırmak ve SM’yi olumlu yönde kullanmak için; halk sağlığı ile ilgili kamu kuruluşlarının SM platformlarını sürekli kontrol edip, doğru ve yanlış bilgileri tespit edip, gerekli önlemleri alması gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir (42).
D. SONUÇ VE ÖNERİLER
Dünya da Pandemi esnasında Dijital Medyanın etkileri ile ilgili yapılan birçok çalışmanın sonuçları göstermektedir ki;
* İnanılmaz ölçüdeki haber/bilgi/ yayma hızı,
* Kullanıcı kitlesinin genişliği ve erişim kolaylığı,
* Düşük iletişim maliyetleri,
* Gerçek zamanlı iletişime olanak vermesi gibi nedenlerle,
Covid – 19 Pandemisini etkileyen en önemli unsur; Dijital Medya olmuştur.
Dünya da daha önce yaşanan Pandemilerin hiçbirinde görülmediği kadar Co-vid – 19 Pandemisinde Dijital Medya;
* Toplum sağlığı ve eğitimini,
* Bilim dünyasını ve teknoloji geliştirmeyi,
* Sağlık kurumlarının entegrasyon ve koordinasyonlarını,
* İnsanların cinsel yaşamlarını,
* Kişilerin ruhsal ve sosyal sağlığını,
* Özellikle genç kuşakları,
* Bilgi kirliliği ve haber etiğini,
* Irkçılık ve ayrımcılığın körüklenmesini, önemli derecede etkilemiştir.
Bu nedenle gelecek muhtemel Pandemilerde Kişilerin ve Toplumun,
Fiziksel, Ruhsal ve Sosyal yönden daha az zarar görmesi için,
Politika yapıcıların, stratejik plan hazırlayanların ve karar vericilerin,
Dijital Medyayı daha ön planda hesaba katmalarının uygun olacağı düşüncesindeyiz.
