Die arabische Welt war, ist und bleibt als Reiseziel für Europäer immer attraktiv. Besonders Ägypten, mit allem was es an kulturellen und archäologischen Schätzen, Stränden, Wüsten und lieben Menschen besitzt, ist als Ferienland sehr beliebt. Ich versuche im ersten Teil dieses Büchleins, den Reisenden in die arabische Welt und besonders Ägypten über das Wichtigste in Kürze zu informieren. Zu Beginn wird die Vorbereitung vor und während der Reise berücksichtigt. Anschliessend informiere ich über die Verhaltensregeln, was den Umgang mit den Menschen betrifft. Im zweiten Teil gebe ich einen Überblick zur Religion. Ziel ist es, den Reisenden zu informieren, was diesbezüglich im Alltag geschieht. Fehlen solche Informationen, kann es manchmal unabsichtlich zu Verletzungen der Gefühle von Einheimischen führen. Der dritte Teil bezieht sich auf alltägliche Redewendungen und deren Bedeutungen. Hier kann auch eine minimale Menge an Infos helfen, viel zu verstehen. Die Redewendungen sind auch mit Lautschrift geschrieben, damit die Leser diese auch richtig aussprechen können. Der vierte Teil bezieht sich auf Mimik und Gestik der Araber. Aus Höflichkeit will der Einheimische manchmal nicht sprechen und drückt sich mit Mimik und Gestik aus. Das Kennen der Mimik und Gestik kann den Touristen helfen, richtig zu reagieren und einiges zu verstehen, wenn man die Sprache nicht beherrscht.
