Исследование базируется на оценивании модифицированных уравнений Минцера с использованием квантильных регрессий по панельным данным. Предложенный подход дополняется моделями совместного распределения заработной платы и продолжительности образования на основе копулярных функций. Используемая в работе методология позволяет сравнить значимость включенных в модель факторов при формировании заработной платы, исследовать структуру зависимости между заработной платой и образованием, а также ответить на вопрос, в какой из двух стран после более чем десяти лет независимого развития наблюдалась более высокая отдача от образования.

Работа посвящена исследованию спроса на труд иностранных мигрантов на территории Российской Федерации. Основой для анализа служат данные, публикуемые Федеральной службой по труду и занятости РФ, и база данных Ruslana, предоставляемая Bureau van Dijk. В результате исследования установлено, что приток внутренних мигрантов сильно снижает потребность в иностранных трудовых мигрантах, спрос на которых выше в ресурсодобывающих, экономически развитых регионах и в регионах с низкой плотностью населения. Больше всего заявок на привлечение иностранной рабочей силы подано в строительных и обрабатывающих отраслях. Работодатели предпочитают нанимать низкоквалифицированных работников со средним образованием и опытом работы до 1 года. На основании оценки эконометрической модели выявлено, что основными факторами, объясняющими спрос на труд мигрантов, являются индивидуальные характеристики мигрантов (образование и опыт), а также их профессиональные группы. Установлено, что существующая система формирования квот плохо учитывает экономическую обстановку в регионах.
